LIFE JOURNAL (YouVersion) cont…

January 29, 2013

Ok, Since this is a one year thing, Lord can I ask you to help me find a location to put this, knowing it will long…

GENESIS 1-2 & Luke 1
Luke 1:4 MSG

1-4 So many others have tried their hand at putting together a story of the wonderful harvest of Scripture and history that took place among us, using reports handed down by the original eyewitnesses who served this Word with their very lives. Since I have investigated all the reports in close detail, starting from the story’s beginning, I decided to write it all out for you, most honorable Theophilus, so you can know beyond the shadow of a doubt the reliability of what you were taught.

Check the facts before you decide to do something. If what you do causes harm to anyone then consider the fact it could trigger your death in a flash. Who else went through this?  Who in the Bible did?  Abram and Sarai in Genesis “pack and leave”!

My life has it’s bumps and bruises, upheavals and downward spirals that rarely hit complete bottom though I have wondered on occasion. This storm to will pass, Lord willing.

Amazing how much an eye witness knows compared to someone who has never even met a person face to face when something happens. Two or three witness required at minimum. There is a reason for that, because hearsay based on a lie just does not cut the mustard or any thing else. Matthew Henry’s Commentary (Kindle Fire app) puts it in words like this…

“And the great events whereon our hopes depend, have been recorded by those who were from the beginning eye-witnesses and ministers of the word, and who were perfected in their understanding of them through Divine inspiration.”

Genesis 3:4-5, 8-24 NIV

4 “You will not certainly die,” the serpent said to the woman.5 “For God knows that when you eat from it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”8 Then the man and his wife heard the sound of the Lord God as he was walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and they hid from the Lord God among the trees of the garden.9 But the Lord God called to the man, “Where are you?”10 He answered, “I heard you in the garden, and I was afraid because I was naked; so I hid.”11 And he said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten from the tree that I commanded you not to eat from?”12 The man said, “The woman you put here with me—she gave me some fruit from the tree, and I ate it.

“13 Then the Lord God said to the woman, “What is this you have done?”
The woman said, “The serpent deceived me, and I ate.”14 So the Lord God said to the serpent, “Because you have done this, “Cursed are you above all livestock and all wild animals! You will crawl on your belly and you will eat dust all the days of your life.15 And I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel.”16 To the woman he said, “I will make your pains in childbearing very severe; with painful labor you will give birth to children. Your desire will be for your husband, and he will rule over you.”17 To Adam he said, “Because you listened to your wife and ate fruit from the tree about which I commanded you, ‘You must not eat from it,’ “Cursed is the ground because of you; through painful toil you will eat food from it all the days of your life.18 It will produce thorns and thistles for you, and you will eat the plants of the field.19 By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return.”20 Adam named his wife Eve, because she would become the mother of all the living.21 The Lord God made garments of skin for Adam and his wife and clothed them.22 And the Lord God said, “The man has now become like one of us, knowing good and evil. He must not be allowed to reach out his hand and take also from the tree of life and eat, and live forever.”23 So the Lord God banished him from the Garden of Eden to work the ground from which he had been taken.

24 After he drove the man out, he placed on the east side of the Garden of Eden cherubim and a flaming sword flashing back and forth to guard the way to the tree of life.

Placed boundaries on Adam and Eve and it cost. GOD will do no less now. No one can fool the Lord God. Boundaries, borders, locked doors.

(1Chronicles 16:24)

Publish his glorious deeds among the nations. Tell everyone about the amazing things he does.

Acts 17:23-31 NIV

23 For as I walked around and looked carefully at your objects of worship, I even found an altar with this inscription: to an unknown god . So you are ignorant of the very thing you worship—and this is what I am going to proclaim to you.24 “The God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by human hands.25 And he is not served by human hands, as if he needed anything. Rather, he himself gives everyone life and breath and everything else.26 From one man he made all the nations, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he marked out their appointed times in history and the boundaries of their lands.27 God did this so that they would seek him and perhaps reach out for him and find him, though he is not far from any one of us.28 ‘For in him we live and move and have our being.’ As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’29 “Therefore since we are God’s offspring, we should not think that the divine being is like gold or silver or stone—an image made by human design and skill.30 In the past God overlooked such ignorance, but now he commands all people everywhere to repent.31 For he has set a day when he will judge the world with justice by the man he has appointed. He has given proof of this to everyone by raising him from the dead.”

Genesis 4:3-17, 25-26 NIV

3 In the course of time Cain brought some of the fruits of the soil as an offering to the Lord .4 And Abel also brought an offering—fat portions from some of the firstborn of his flock. The Lord looked with favor on Abel and his offering,5 but on Cain and his offering he did not look with favor. So Cain was very angry, and his face was downcast.6 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Why are you angry? Why is your face downcast?7 If you do what is right, will you not be accepted? But if you do not do what is right, sin is crouching at your door; it desires to have you, but you must rule over it.”8 Now Cain said to his brother Abel, “Let’s go out to the field.” While they were in the field, Cain attacked his brother Abel and killed him.9 Then the Lord said to Cain, “Where is your brother Abel?”
“I don’t know,” he replied. “Am I my brother’s keeper?”10 The Lord said, “What have you done? Listen! Your brother’s blood cries out to me from the ground.11 Now you are under a curse and driven from the ground, which opened its mouth to receive your brother’s blood from your hand.12 When you work the ground, it will no longer yield its crops for you. You will be a restless wanderer on the earth.”13 Cain said to the Lord , “My punishment is more than I can bear.14 Today you are driving me from the land, and I will be hidden from your presence; I will be a restless wanderer on the earth, and whoever finds me will kill me.”15 But the Lord said to him, “Not so; anyone who kills Cain will suffer vengeance seven times over.” Then the Lord put a mark on Cain so that no one who found him would kill him.16 So Cain went out from the Lord ‘s presence and lived in the land of Nod, east of Eden.17 Cain made love to his wife, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Enoch. Cain was then building a city, and he named it after his son Enoch.25 Adam made love to his wife again, and she gave birth to a son and named him Seth, saying, “God has granted me another child in place of Abel, since Cain killed him.”26 Seth also had a son, and he named him Enosh.
At that time people began to call on the name of the Lord .

GENESIS(4): Round #2…Revelation 22:21.Let you know in tidbits – boundaries were set in the Garden, so how did so many of us miss that memo? Acts 17:26 same drill.

When I was sitting in the park with a large Sicilian pepperoni pizza and realized I had ate it all. I have rarely ate more than four slices since! I stopped that nonsense. Actually on that note, I rarely eat any Pizza anymore! 495# down to 249# 55 to go. NW Okc That’s awesome Cathy Rodgers. We’d love to hear how that has changed YOUR life story!

Cathy Rodgers Act of God! Only in the last six months quit buying Pop tarts too. In spite of the fact half of one was enough but the remainder would go stale! Hint, seeking God pays off. I tried the pills the shakes and whatever else to lose weight including Dexatrim, Green Tea …WeighDown Workshop got my attention royal when I almost opted out due funds available, started to get out of the chair and got stuck! I asked about a payment plan 1/2 ….I said o.k. and got up to leave! Bible based. I know God well enough to know He stopped me from leaving that room and I have seen Him do some other things lately too. Well battery is getting too low, but this story is longer, honest! Boundaries from certain foods has been in existence for centuries back to the book of Genesis. It was food with Adam and Eve, Cain and Able and it makes a person wonder.

Don’t envy violent people or copy their ways. (NLT)

Proverbs 3:31 NLT + More Versions

Have you ever had someone blow up at you for small reasons? Be cautious not to model after this behavior. Believe it or not, over time violence and short tempers begin to seep into our ways. We then carry forward this type of behavior even when we know it is unacceptable. Try to limit the influence of violence in your life.

Recently I had some people tell me comply with some others that I was told not to do what they say. My own policy is that if it is unlawful, I won’t do it. I know the consequences and want no part of a life in prison. I have succeed in obeying the law to the point there is not even a finger print of mine connected to any crime. That’s a record to be proud of 24/7.

It has been a long 48 hours and even with medication I am still on the path to get past the flu! Be careful who you comply with!
